This group of paintings evolved over a period of years as I became intrigued by the possibilities of imagery that would come from a Vesica Piscis.


Vesica Piscis is a geometrical term for the almond shape that appears when two circles overlap. Specifically, it is the shared center of intersecting circles of equal radii whose centers lie on each other's circumference. Of its many meanings and associations it is often considered the birthing place of all other geometric forms within the practice of sacred geometry.


When we connect the two centers of the circles with a line segment, we have begun the creation process. The birth of the line can lead to all other geometrical shapes, and so it begins.......
